If you have ever wished for climate controls in your workplace environment, Herman Miller, the office furniture retailer, may have a solution.

A small desktop heating/cooling gadget called a C2 can adjust the air temperature around you by up to an astounding 40 degrees warmer, and up to 8 degrees cooler (from a standard 72 degrees).

A minimum of 10,000 units are expected to be produced in the first year, each offered for $300, and orders are already coming in.

Another selling point is the "green factor." According to Herman Miller spokesman Bruce Buursma, the C2 uses 90% less energy than a space heater and is 41% recyclable, allowing businesses to use it toward their environmental certification.
