A-Live, A-Live-O

The Zunes are live! Now available in colors! The Zune 4, Zune 8 and Zune 80 are now to be found at online stores, or get one straight from Microsoft at the Zune Originals store.

New Zunes

Microsoft’s New Zunes are ready and reviews have been coming in from CNET, Zune Thoughts, and Zunerama.
Three new Zune models will be on store shelves tomorrow: the black Zune 80GB, which has a bright 3.2-inch screen and comes with premium in-ear noise-isolating headphones (ERP $249.99), and the slim, ultra-portable Zune 4GB (ERP $149.99) and the Zune 8GB (ERP $199.99), both available in pink, green, black and red. The new Zune models also feature the new Zune Pad, a touch-sensitive navigation button that lets people fly through menus or lists with the flick of their thumb, or click to easily change songs or adjust the volume. Every Zune player includes wireless sync and wireless sharing, a built-in FM tuner, and a bright color screen to display music, pictures, videos and podcasts. Existing Zune owners will receive all new software features via a free and easy upgrade, available Nov 13.

New Zunes Nov 13th

You can count on Amazon to give us the real deal when it comes to release dates for products. Microsoft has not made its official announcement, but Amazon reports November 13th.

Worlds Most Advanced Racing and Entertainment Simulator

Or so the VRX site says. This impressive looking racing sim is designed with a Forza Motorsports 2 theme and three 37-inch Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD TVs. The frame is constructed from CNC machined polished aluminum, and envelopes the gamer by curiously including just one Sparco seat along with four Xbox 360 Elites, four copies of Forza Motorsport 2, an Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on player, camera / wireless headset, a Zune, force feedback wheel, and surround sound as well.
I didn’t find anything even remotely related to a price tag, so perhaps if we have to ask we can’t afford it! Btw, there is a sales email link onsite, just in case your curiosity gets the better of you. — VRX

Zune Halo 3 Edition up for pre-order

That special edition Halo 3 Zune is real, out, and up for pre-order exclusively through GameStop. Available June 15th (pre-order now), the $249 promotional Zune comes packin’ a 30GB disk loaded with a flood of Halorific music, video and artwork. Although you’ve made your thoughts about Microsoft’s would-be iPod killer abundantly clear, the tie-in with the hotly anticipated September 25th release of Halo 3 by Bungie Studio (owned by Microsoft) could generate some renewed Zune-buzz all but lost since its initial launch. Welcome to the Social Covenant kids.
