Ten Free Downloads with Zune Pass Subscription

zune marketplace store pass Ten Free Downloads with Zune Pass Subscription

Microsoft’s Zune Pass subscription just got better. For $15 per month, you have access to all the songs in the Zune Marketplace but now you also get to keep 10 songs as well. That means for the price of a CD, you get to "rent" all the songs you want per month PLUS keep 10 of your favorite songs. Sounds like a bargain to me.

Why pay 99 cents per song in iTunes when you can have access to a plethora of songs for $15 bucks a month? I really think they have iTunes beat.

I personally hate iTunes, but have already vested so much money in buying seasons of Lost which I can’t watch on the go anymore because I got rid of the iPhone for the Blackberry Bold. I may be switching to Zune Marketplace today.

canadian zune Canadian Retailer Offers 8GB Zune for $99 CAD $82 US

In an apparent show of America’s deepening recession, Canadian retailer Future Shop is selling the 8GB Zune MP3 player for just $82 CAD. That amounts to $99 in the deflated American currency. That’s over fifty dollars less than anywhere in America. It is a limited time offer, however. It shoots up to $149 CAD in just six days, so you had better hop to it if you want to grab a deal.

Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer recently let some details go regarding the impending release of Windows Mobile 6.5. Motorola recently leaked that the OS was in the cards and Ballmer confirmed it. He didn’t go into details regarding specs, but he did hint at an improved UI. He also noted it would be the first Windows Mobile release to have Zune software integration. Windows Mobile 6.5 will probably see release in the first couple of months of 2009.

Guy who got Zune tattoo somehow one-ups himself

zuneguy2 Guy who got Zune tattoo somehow one ups himself

Once upon a time there was a legendary fanboy nicknamed "Zuneguy." Why you may ask? Well because he was the one person in the entire tech-iverse who loved Microsoft’s "iPod killer" so much that he had the logo forever emblazoned on his skin.

However, time has finally caught up with poor Zuneguy. He has had a change of heart. We don’t know if it was spurred on by the Zune’s pisspoor adoption rate or reported problems with the DRM. However, ZG decided it best to cover up that Zune tattoo, um, sort of anyways.

Not quite sure why he went with the "Zune logo acting as sort of pentagram in evil Dick Cheney’s head" thing but I’m pretty sure in thirty years when he’s an older Zuneguy he will remember the decision fondly. Tattoos are permanent, donchaknow.
