The First Alert ONELink Talking Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector is an alarm that will talk you through a fire emergency instead of sounding an incessant BEEP. The cool feature about these alarms is that they communicate with each other wirelessly which means that if you have a fire in another part of the house, that all fire alarms will sound at the same time.

The inclusion of a photoelectric smoke sensing alarm prevents false alarms caused by candles and incense. You can link up to 16 at a time. A 2 Pack of these safety devices costs $79.99.

Features:
-2 in 1 protection, detects smoke and carbon monoxide
-Talking alarm with location; When programmed, a voice will tell you the location of the unit if smoke or carbon monoxide is detected
-OneLink enabled alarms communicate with other OneLink alarms wirelessly. When one sounds, they all sound
-No additional electrical work needed, capable of linking up to 16 OneLink detectors
-Photoelectric smoke sensing alarm, helps prevent false alarms like those caused by cooking fires and shower steam

Planex plans to release the GW-USMicronN Wireless-N adapter next month. The unit allows you to make a painless upgrade to Wireless-N, providing you have the appropriate router. It’s possibly the smallest 802.11n USB adapter to date, 1/6th the size of the D-Link it is pictured with.

Early testing has indicated that it’s competitive with other models and features the same security measures to boot. The adapter will cost $30 and arrives in the US in December.

Wireless charging kits aren’t exactly new, but the Psyclone ToughCharge kit for the Xbox 360 might just take the cake in the innovation department. The unit has you loading the 360 controller with the special bundled battery and then has you plugging the base plate into the wall. That’s pretty much it. No wires to speak of and nothing extraneous to worry about. The only catch is, seemingly, the unit only supports one controller at a time. Also, it costs $70. Still, having no power as you approach the end boss of the final level can be pretty frustrating.
