Microsoft’s Cloud Computing OS Called Windows Azure
Microsoft has officially named its new cloud computing operating system, Windows Azure. The OS is just one part of the framework that will be offered with Windows 7. The platform gives developers the ability to create applications with existing technologies such as .NET framework or Visual Studio.
According to Microsoft:
"The Azure Service Platform is an internet-scale cloud services platform hosted in Microsoft data centers, which provides an operating system and a set of developer services…"

Steve Ballmer was in London at a software conference, where he said Microsoft will officially announce Windows 7, now called Windows Cloud, at the end of October. The official name for the new Windows operating system, as well as other details, will be announced at Microsoft’s annual developer conference in Los Angeles between October 27th through the 30th.
Right now however, everyone is talking about Google Android, and the new G1, which is rivaling the iPhone.
