

WiFi Dangers Investigated

Britain’s Health Protection Agency (HPA) will be investigsating the health ramifications of WiFi, especially in schools. They will ascertain the average exposure to the low level radiation emitted by wi-fi access points and wireless links on computers.

AT&T Tilt

AT&T Branded Tilt, the HTC Kaiser, the 8925 with Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 6 Pocket PC phone is the latest QWERTY-keyboard device from AT&T. It features a tilting 240 x 320 display, and usesHSDPA for high speed Internet access, Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi®. It also features assisted GPS (sat-nav), a 3 MegaPixel camera, Bluetooth and a microSD card expansion slot. Wireless cellular connectivity comes in the shape of UMTS and HSPDA, as well as GPRS and EDGE.

WFR-20 Internet Radio

I hope they put all their efforts into the technology of this Wi-Fi radio, because they certainly ignored design..
This rather ugly thing is the Sangean WiFi internet radio (WFR-20) which offers up "direct access to over 6,000 Internet Radio stations (and 21,242 on-demand streams) in 250 locations from 60 genres," and you can organize your favorites in the My Stations folder.

Alaska Air Goes Wi-FI

Alaska Air "will test a system from Row 44, a provider of broadband communication for airlines, on a Boeing 737 in spring 2008," and depending upon results, it plans to equip its 114-aircraft fleet.
This technology will allow passengers with Wi-Fi-enabled devices, such as laptop computers, PDAs, smartphones and portable gaming systems to have high-speed access to the Internet, e-mail, virtual private networks and stored in-flight entertainment content.
