thirsty light ThirstyLights

These ThirstyLights will let you know when your plant needs water. Its LED light will blink, triggered by a "Drypoint Digital Circuit," which checks moisture levels once per second and can actually tell from five different levels of dryness.

At $10 each, or cheaper in bundled sets, now you have no more excuses for killing your plants.

11 17 07 lost camera Memory Card Still Good After 2 Years In Water

Two years ago, Mr. Collins lost his Canon Powershot camera when his boat capsized in Kejimkujik National Park. Mrs. Collins nearly drowned and naturally, no one gave the lost camera second thought – until now.

A park maintenance worker found the Canon, which was beaten up, but to everyone’s amazement, the memory card was relatively untouched by the water. When tested, 300 pictures were found on it – eerie reminders of a fateful day.

k6538c Faucet Protection?

I remember when I was still a young lad, one particularly cold winter something peculiar happened; There was no running water. I thought it ran out.

I know, i know, I was kind of a dunce as a young child (just dim witted now). But it seems that technology and design can save youngsters from such embarrassing realizations. Pipe Watchman is the name and what it does is pretty cool. It prevents faucets from freezing in cold temps. A small sensor in an internal microvalve recognizes a preset low temperature and allows a small amount of water to flow through the valve, preventing freezing. When the water reaches a preset warmer temperature, the valve closes.Made of high-impact polypropylene and enhanced resins with UV inhibitors and protects pipes 24/7 without wasting water.

Awesome.

8 22 07 soaker man The Russians Join in the Non Lethal Weapons Game

While I swear this just looks like an industrial-strength Super Soaker, the Russians assure us that it’s really their attempt at a new kind of non-lethal weapon. It uses "electro-hydrodynamic effects," which basically means that a jolt of electricity is used to shoot out a high-velocity stream of water to take out the bad guy. As I’ve said in the past, I like non-lethal weapons, even when they kind of look like toys.

Haier! Haier! Something revolutionary has arrived.  Would you believe it if someone told you they had a washing machine that would clean your dirty laundry without any soap?  Well, Haier has something proven that will be out on the market very soon.  The WasH20 breaks down water molecules into its OH- and H=+ ions where the OH- acts as the cleansing agent while the H=+ sanitizes.  Wouldn’t this be detrimental to the detergent industry?  Everyone will want one and think about the enviromental benefits.  Priced out at a grand or so, it’ll be a hot seller.
