Dell has rebranded it’s own Inspiron Mini 9 as the Vostro A90. The new branding does feature some aesthetic enhancements but internally it is the same computer. The company has offered no reason for the rebranding and, for now, it is available only in Japan.

Also, it is extremely expensive. If you have a few yen in your pocket you can throw down ¥92,830 ($972) for the unit. Incidentally, that is almost three times the price of the Mini 9. It is all black though!

Dell’s Vostro line is officially out. The laptop line has the 14.1-inch Vostro 1400, 15.4-inch Vostro 1500, and 17-inch Vostro 1700. The desktops include the Vostro 200 Slim Tower and Vostro 200 Mini Tower. The budget-minded have not been forgotten either with the AMD-based 15.4-inch Vostro 1000 laptop starting at just $449. They all have Inspiron configurations with no pre-installed software, a 30-day guarantee without restocking fee, and your choice of XP or Vista Business. Ditto for the desktops which start at only $319. Wow.
