64-Bit Windows Does Not Support The iPhone

Some users are having difficulty using their new iPhone coincide their Windows computers. An error message appears stating: "The software required for iPhone is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install iTunes again."
The problem is simple: iPhone will not work when used on a 64-bit Windows Vista or XP system. This detail is listed in the "minimum system requirements" at Apple, but is apparently very easy to overlook. So, if you’re worried if your new gadget will work on your computer or not, do yourself a favor and check the system requirements first.

Microsoft Utilizes It’s “Software Plus Services” strategy

Microsoft attempts to expand into the Internet to give a fully rounded system to its customers. The company will offer online services including e-mail and Web search under its Windows Live brand, as well test versions of two new free services: Windows Live Folders and Windows Live Photo Gallery.
Windows Live Photo Gallery is a new version of the photo application found on Microsoft’s two most recent operating systems, Windows XP and Windows Vista. It simplifies how people can share photos on their Windows Live Spaces site, Microsoft’s social networking platform.
The sharing feature of Microsoft’s new Photo Gallery is similar to how users can publish pictures from Apple Inc.’s iPhoto application to the company’s .Mac online service.
Microsoft’s effort might pay off in the next few months, but if it seriously expects to compete head-to-head with the likes of Google and Yahoo, then Microsoft might just find the whole experience a bit lacking.

Fujitsu T8140 Elicits Pavlovian Reaction in Tablet PC Lovers
![]()
This may never make it to the US, but if it does, Tablet PC users will certainly rejoice. Solid-state disk, 11-hour battery life (over 7 with the standard battery), just over 3 pounds, and Intel graphics that can run Vista Aero–those are heavenly stats that Tablet lovers dream about. Even I’m already salivating, and that’s at a conversion price of $2,650 that I most definitely could not afford.

Apple’s Safari Fixes
Those reports of Safari bugs were accurate. (I think its a plot!) Apple issued a new version of the public beta of Safari for Windows today — highest on the list of fixes were patches for three separate security vulnerabilities that were uncovered just hours after its first launch.

Embedded Hologram on MS Vista CD

Here’s one for you conspiracy buffs out there — and what’s better than a good conspiracy?
A blogger known as Kwisatz posts an embedded hologram he claims he found on a Vista Business CD. Microsoft = nerds and that’s what is there – a pic of three grinning ones.
No corroboration here and it could be a total PS (and BS) job. You decide.
