PlayStation Home has been a long time coming, having been announced close to two years ago now. That may all change soon, however. PS Home director Jack Buster recently assured the world that the service would hit in 2008. ]]>

PlayStation Home has been a long time coming, having been announced close to two years ago now. That may all change soon, however. PS Home director Jack Buster recently assured the world that the service would hit in 2008. "Like we’ve said, we’re excited about moving PlayStation Home into its Open Beta stage this year. Once we make the move to Open Beta, everyone will have access to PlayStation Home."

So it may just be beta, but it is coming. Sign me up. Enjoy an ancient preview video below to get pumped for the, eventual, service:

Microsoft has just announced that sales of the Xbox 360 have outpaced total sales of the original Xbox. This announcement comes just two days after the 360’s third birthday on November 22. Happy birthday, you loud awesome beast!

To put things in perspective, the original Xbox’s life cycle was almost four years long. The 360 has outsold it in just three years, and before another lucrative holiday season to boot. Microsoft’s continued success brings a tear to all of our eyes.

Also, check out the shootemup database Shoot the Core. Abandonia is a great resource for abandoned and forgotten games. Classic DOS Games is just what it sounds like, a database for the DOS classics of yesteryear. It even has Monkey Island and Lemmings. Good times to be had by all! You can thank me later.
