Verizon’s launch of the BlackBerry Storm has been going swimmingly, according to various retailers. The phone is sold out nearly everywhere, and the online store is racing to fill the orders of thousands upon thousands of eager buyers. RIM is on track for a hit.
Why is the phone being snapped up? Check the official Verizon video below which lists a series of the device’s unique features. But, be warned, don’t get too excited. They are sold out, remember.

This is it. RIM’s BlackBerry Storm is finally available to consumers via their friendly neighborhood Verizon store. Read our review here.
Now it’s time to see if this self-proclaimed "iPhone killer" actually, um, kills some iPhones. The copy and paste function does seem like a winner. We will post some sales figures as they become available. Until then, here is a European TV commercial for the phone to get your wallets excited:

Samsung Saga Currently Available at Verizon Online Marketplace

The Samsung Saga is now available online at Verizon. This extremely blue smartphone features globetrotting GSM and is CDMA-enabled. It sells for $199.99 after a mail-in rebate and an agreement to a two year contract. Currently, the unit is only available on Verizon’s website. AT&T Purchases Centennial Commucations Corp for $944 Million

AT&T bought Centennial Communications Corp today for $944 million. The move was intended to improve AT&T’s coverage in the Midwest, Southeast and Puerto Rico. The purchase will add over 1.1 million customers to the company’s 79.4 million person base. The move follows Verizon and their purchase of Alltel last week.
AT&T assures Centennial customers that their service will be unaffected and they will enter into their billing system in time.

GSM Only BlackBerry Storm Gets FCC Approval

While the Bold officially launches today and Verizon Storm still awaits release, Blackberry fans of the world may rejoice in learning that the GSM-only version of the much awaited phone has just received FCC approval. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets released on Vodafone before it hits the streets of the U.S.
According to Vodafone, the phone will have: 1 GB of memory, 192 MB RAM, 3.2 megapixel camera, Video capture, A-GPS and Quad-band. No idea if it is 3G or will work with AT&T’s 3G network but it’s still exciting news.
