It seems RIM has secretly released Firmware update 4.7.0.75 for their new BlackBerry Storm. Rumor had it the company was going to wait for a wide release on the update, but it seems they went with the silent but deadly approach instead.

Rumor has it that the iPhone OS 2.2 update will be dropping on November 21st. This is according to iPhone Hellas, who tend to be pretty accurate on these types of things. The update will feature fixes such as walking directiosn, public transit route info and podcast downloading over-the-air. The addition of "copy and paste" remains much desired in the iPhone community but there is still no information regarding the inclusion of basic feature.

Everything old is new again. Lubitel have announced their 166+ model camera. The hook is that it uses real film. No joke. Let the digital vs analog rivalry begin anew. The new camera is an update to a classic 1970s model and it certainly wears it’s design aesthetic on it’s sleeve.

The $350 166+ offers some modern conveniences over the original unit. You can use 35mm film, there is an endless panorama option and the focus lens has been dramatically improved. Acer has updated its notebooks with the Aspire 7720G and the 2920, and the Ferrari 1100. The Aspire 2920 is a 12.1-inch model, featuring Core 2 Duo CPUs, and Intel GMA X310 graphics. The Ferrari 1100 is another 12.1-inch screen, a 2.3GHz Turion 64 X2 TL-66 processor, LED backlighting

Not only has Google updated its time estimate to include travel time with traffic (which can be comical in Los Angeles, with a 20 mile trip turning into a 90 minute commute), but it’s added the ability to alter routes as well. This is great for me, because I’ve learned enough about LA traffic to know that many of Google’s routes are quite possibly the worst to take at certain times of the day. Very impressive.
