Fujitsu Lifebook U1010 Ultra Mobile PC – It’s so TINY!

Fujitsu continues to release small devices that are attractive to anyone with very good eyes and relatively small hands. The U1010 UMPC is no different. 800MHz Intel processor, 5.6 inch touch screen, up to 6 hours of battery life, Tablet PC functionality, 1GB of RAM, and 40GB HDD make this a decent enough performer. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi make it a good communicator. It’s only in Asia at the moment, but hopefully Fujitsu will ship it over.

NextGen iPods With Touch Screens

Apple iPod rumor mills say the next generation iPods will have a sporty touch screen. Sources in Taiwan say that is exactly what is coming by the end of August.

Electronic Wearables

Eleksen Group announced a new electronics module for FM radio and updated electronics modules for iPod and Bluetooth. Sounds like yet another electronics gadget, but these are for wearables!
Controlled by their Common Interface technology, sensors are embedded in a garment or accessory items making an electro-conductive fabric touchpad optimized for the creation of flexible, durable, and rugged fabric touch screen interfaces.
Several companies have already integrated ElekTex sensors into their clothing and backpack lines to enable their customers to control a variety of mobile entertainment and consumer electronic devices. With ElekTex, the electronic gadget is stowed safely away in a backpack or pocket, and is controlled from the sensor on a jacket sleeve or backpack handle.

HP Demos Worlds Largest Multi-Input Touchscreen

HP recently demoed the world’s largest multi-input touch screen at the D5 conference. I’ve seen big screens, but never anything this big, or this cool. It’s great to see all these cool demos, but I’d rather see the products in the store at an affordable price, so we can take it home and use it ourselves. Click below to see the video…
