This is a picture of the TIV-2, Tornado Intercept Vehicle, from the Discovery Channel’s "Storm Chasers." This truck is essentially a tank filled with the latest technology in order to take readings during a tornado while still being able to avoid destruction.

This baby has a top speed of 61 mph, comes fitted with 1/8th inch welded steel plate body and hydraulic skirts used to deflect high-speed winds. The TIV2 can film super high resolution IMAX video through the turret which is constructed from tempered glass and steel, while still being able to rotate 360 degrees. Fully loaded, the vehicle is 17500 lbs with a 92 gallon fuel tank and 750 mile range.
