The eagerly awaited Ironman is here. Timex has finally unveiled the iControl watch, a sports watch that doubles as your iPod’s remote control system.
It will also work with the iPhone when the phone is in airplane mode.
"The days of fumbling for your iPod in mid-stride are over,” said Heberto Calves, Vice President of Sports Marketing. “iControl offers cutting edge technology and contemporary design, in addition to the functional quality and durability people have come to expect from Timex.”

This falls somewhat in the "But Why?" category, but in any case it looks like Timex will be releasing a version of their Ironman sports watches that will incorporate iPod control via RF wireless. It’ll also be a decent watch, if not the prettiest.
