Everyone has heard of a fanny pack right? It’s those funny alternatives to a purse or backpack, usually you’ll see them on old fat guys or nerds at a ballpark. I even used to own one, and let me tell you, it’s a big hit with the ladies. But i figured it’s time for an upgrade. It’s called the Gambit Pack and its the ultimate storage place for gadgets.

It’s actually rumored that Bruce Wane himself came up with the design. but don’t take my word for it, find out for yourself.

The Grabit Pack is available directly from the company’s website for just $23. Unfortunately at the moment the right side version is sold out, which is actually good news for south paws.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Google will be launching a remote storage service as early as "a few months from now." Google is not commenting, but did acknowledge that storage is an "important component of making Web [applications] fit easily into consumers’ and business users’ lives."

J. Lo will be releasing an album via flash drive, and not a cheap one either. Gresso and Sony BMG Music Entertainment have come up with this idea to distribute Lopez’s "Brave" album on the Adam&Eve flash drive, which features 1GB of storage and is crafted from African Mahogany or African Blackwood. It is supposed to sell for around $70 and methinks that just might hurt sales.

Researchers at Arizona State University have discovered a new technique for manipulating charged copper particles at the molecular scale. What that means for us, is low-cost, low-power computer memory – like a terabyte-sized flash drive!

"A thumb drive using our memory could store a terabyte of information," says Michael Kozicki, director of ASU’s Center for Applied Nanoionics, which developed the technology. "All the current limitations in portable electronic storage could go away. You could record video of every event in your life and store it."

This new technology has a catchy name too – nano-ionics, a field that focuses on moving and transforming positively charged atoms.

While Hitachi predicts to deliver 4TB drives by 2011, Western Digital has unveiled a drive with a storage density of 520GB per square inch. That means 3TB 3.5-inch drives by 2010.
