Companies Band Togther to Eliminate Clamhell Packaging

Electronics manufacturers are finally banding together to eliminate that annoying clamshell packaging we all know and loathe. Amazon, Sony, Microsoft and Best Buy have now all jumped aboard a bandwagon to eliminate the clamshell for good.

So, it’s good news that Sony is implementing a package, for use at Best Buy and Walmart, that is easily opened but emits a loud noise to deter in-store thieves. Both the black and white versions are being sold right now along with that instant rebate. The offer is good until January 31st of next year, which seems to indicate Sony has plans for a mylo 3 shortly thereafter.
