

Sony cuts $100 from Price of Mylo 2 Internet Device for Holidays

Sony hasn’t been moving too many of it’s mylo 2 "Internet Devices" since the company launched the units last January. To increase sales, the company is slashing $100 from the purchase price, bringing the handheld down to $199.99. Both the black and white versions are being sold right now along with that instant rebate. The offer is good until January 31st of next year, which seems to indicate Sony has plans for a mylo 3 shortly thereafter.

Best Buy Reduces Price on Eee PC 900A Netbook for Holidays

Best Buy has reduced the price on the Eee PC 900A netbook for the holiday season. The bare-bones Eee PC used to retail for $300 at the electronics store, but now has been lowered to just $280. Head out and grab the 8.9-inch, Atom N270-based netbook with 4GB of flash SSD storage and save yourself twenty bucks.

Walmart and Kmart Announce Deals Similar to Black Friday With No Thanksgiving in Sight

Walmart and Kmart are enticing consumers to get a jump on their holiday shopping by holding a series of "Black Friday-style" sales well before the Friday after Thanksgiving. The price cuts go into effect tomorrow, Saturday, November 8th. Walmart is offering up a 15.4-inch Compaq CQ-139WM laptop with 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive for only $298. They are also selling a PlayStation 2 bundled with a $30 Walmart gift card for $129 and a PlayStation 3 bundled with a $100 gift card for $399.
Over at Kmart, they are offering up a 32-inch Sylvania LCD HDTV for $439.99 and starting on Sunday, Wii Fit will be available for just $89.99, balance board included. Get shopping!

AP and Reuters are reporting that Sony will be selling its chip production facilities to Toshiba for $865 million. This includes the chips for the PS3, might include image sensors, and is all in the air at this point.
