Check BEXY’s iMirror; a dock, remote control "mirror" and video-out for your player. It can charge and sync your pod via USB, output audio from RCA or mini-phono jack connectors, control playback via the remote, and pipe archaic S-Video output to your TV and all for $149.99.

John Gitelman, Chief Marketing Officer said, “We believe that everyone, not just technophiles and those with the ways and means for custom installation, can enjoy the abundance of today’s digital entertainment accessible from any room in their home. We take extraordinary steps to de-complicate and de-confuse our products to deliver an affordable out-of-box experience in five minutes or less. ”

Sounds good to me!

8 3 07 v3hd Need Some Inputs? The V3HD Firewire Has em All

You’ll have to forgive me, because I really don’t know much about this //V stuff. But anything with so many pretty lights and varied inputs must be impressive to someone in the know. For those who are, here are some specs on the V3HD FireWire Video Interface:

  • HD/SD BNC connections
  • Composite
  • Component
  • FireWire 400/800
  • S-Video
  • RS-422
  • XLR input/output
  • HDMI output

I suppose it’s all for capturing video and such (my "duh" statement for the month), and it can handle 32 simultaneous channels. Sounds impressive. No idea on pricing, and it should be available before the fourth quarter.

news Eizo 24 inch HD2451W HD LCD monitorEizo 24-inch HD2451W HD LCD monitor

Here’s another 24-inch, 1920 x 1200 LCD monitor with 1000:1 contrast ratio. Not that that’s a bad thing. This time, it’s Eizo doing the honors with this, their Â¥149,800 (about $1,232) FlexScan HD2451W. That "HD" in the name gives a hint to the panel’s 2x HDMI inputs for 1080p sourced content. It also packs more traditional HDCP-enabled DVI and D-Sub15 inputs for your computers as well as S-Video and composite inputs for your other AV equipment. Rounding things out are a 450cd/m2 brightness, 16ms response, DVI and D-sub 15 inputs, a 2x USB hub, and the ability to pivot into portrait mode. The only thing that seems to be missing is LED backlighting. Eizo is also offering a business-minded FlexScan S2431W without all the pesky video inputs for Â¥114,800 (about $944) or a 20.1-inch, 1680 x 1050 FlexScan S2031W for Â¥59,800 (about $492) if your boss is a bit tight with the budget. All should hit Japan starting June 7.
