Onkyo’s Bose Ripoffs

Looking way too similar to the Bose Wave Radio, Onkyo’s CBX-Z10 and CBX-Z20 CD players are here nonetheless with 10 watts of amplification, video output, a headphone jack, its Acoustic Drive speaker technology, a CD player, and of course, the iPod dock.
Prices are $361 for the CBX-Z10 and $420 for the CBX-Z2.
Google Rumors

With Google phone rumors flying everywhere, I thought I would indulge. If I were Verizon, Cingular, or any other phone company I would be scared, a new innovative and borderline CRAZY idea has hit the rumor mill. Free Cellular phone service, thanks to – Google. You read it right. FREE cell phone service. How is is this possible?
Google has a plan. They are going to bid on a piece of the radio wave pie for 4.6 billion give or take a 100 million or thus providing a platform for new software developments in the cell phone industry. The plan is to make cell phone service like Internet browsers the web surfer can pick his/her favorite and go from there. Except in Google’s case, it would be free for the user by generating revenue from the ads placed neatly in the Gphone.
This is a very loose and sketchy rumor I know, but the bits and pieces I have gathered have gotten me excited – and you should be too!
Lenart Studio Pimps the Surfboard Right

It’s embarrassing enough that I live within 5 minutes of Malibu (one surfing spot in Southern California, for those who don’t live around these parts) and don’t surf. If I did, I certainly wouldn’t be able to afford Lenart Studios’ GPS, LCD, and two-way radio-equipped uber-surfboard. I mean, the thing can alert emergency services if you try to tackle a wave that’s too gnarly, or whatever. No pricing, and this is likely to be a custom-ordered piece of art. And they’ll probably be able to sell some engineering talent to other companies, having figured out how to make such delicate electronics withstand the harshness of surfing, dude.
Tivoli Crystal Radio Would Look Lovely in a Nice Hutch

It’s an AM/FM radio, people, in lovely handcrafted crystal! I mean, come on! and only around $5,800, to boot! Tivoli has got it going on! Okay, enough with the exclamation marks. Again, this is one of those "if you have to ask the price…" moments. I’m sure it’s lovely, and it’ll fit someone’s decor. Just not mine.
Hello Kitty to the Rescue!

No, seriously, if you find yourself in an emergency, Hello Kitty will be there with hand-crank USB cell phone charger, AM/FM radio, LED flashlight, siren, and compass. She’ll also make you feel warm and cuddly, because that’s what Hello Kitty does. No word on pricing or availability.
