Barack Obama Plans to Conduct Weekly Chats Via Youtube

In a Web 2.0 update of FDR’s famous fireside chats, President-Elect Barack Obama has pledged to film weekly chats that can be viewed on the Youtube video streaming service. This comes as no surprise, given that during his campaign he uploaded over 1,100 videos and racked up over 110 million views. The talks will also go out over the radio.
In addition to the weekly addresses, cabinet members and policy experts will be holding Q&As and video interviews at Change.gov. Obama will release his first chat, which is expected to cover the transition, next week.
Spongebob Clock Pants

My girlfriend loves Spongebob. This is what I might get her for her upcoming birthday. It’s about $30 bucks and you can find them just about anywhere. Amazon is a great place to start.
WFR-20 Internet Radio

I hope they put all their efforts into the technology of this Wi-Fi radio, because they certainly ignored design..
This rather ugly thing is the Sangean WiFi internet radio (WFR-20) which offers up "direct access to over 6,000 Internet Radio stations (and 21,242 on-demand streams) in 250 locations from 60 genres," and you can organize your favorites in the My Stations folder.
Now Sirius Release New Radio – Stiletto 2

Okay, I’m going to go ahead and make the assumption that I’m behind the times, and that both XM and Sirius are designing radios that will work with both systems. Or, that when the merger’s complete, there will be only one system. Because they both continue to release new, competing radios. This one, the Stiletto 2, has been talked about forever, but it’s finally been introduced. Some nice specs:
- Capture up to 100 hours of programming
- "Love" button to capture the current song
- Wi-Fi
- Also plays MP3 and WMA files
- microSD slot
- 2.2 inch color display
- Up to 20 hours of use
It ain’t cheap, at $349.99. But it’s sure purty!

Samsung Yepp YP-P2 Overcomes Goofy Name with Some Style

Samsung’s been making some nice things lately, but what’s with the naming? The Yepp (Yepp?!?) YP-P2 is a lovely critter, and quite svelte: only 100 X 52 X 9.2mm. That’s thinner than a runway model… (I’ll leave it at that). Specs:
- Up to 8GB Flash storage
- 3-inch, 428 X 240 pixel touch-screen
- Integrated speaker and mike
- Integrated FM radio
- Integrated Bluetooth
- Plays MP3, WMV, WMA, H.264, and MPEG-4 (ASF)
No pricing or availability yet, but I imagine some folks will be hankering for this one.
