barack obama blackberry White House Officials May Force Obama to Ban His BlackBerry from Oval Office

Barack Obama is quite the fan of the BlackBerry. However, there are actual laws in place that all but bar Obama’s gadget from the Oval Office. Potentially.

The law in question is the Presidential Records Act, which requires all official correspondance to be made available for public domain. This means 3 a.m. BlackBerry emails will have to be curbed considerably. However, aides to the president-elect say he has a laptop at the ready to sit on the historic Oval Office desk.

In a Web 2.0 update of FDR’s famous fireside chats, President-Elect Barack Obama has pledged to film weekly chats that can be viewed on the Youtube video streaming service. This comes as no surprise, given that during his campaign he uploaded over 1,100 videos and racked up over 110 million views. The talks will also go out over the radio.

In addition to the weekly addresses, cabinet members and policy experts will be holding Q&As and video interviews at Change.gov. Obama will release his first chat, which is expected to cover the transition, next week.

barack obama cadillac one limo GM to Build Presidential Limo for President Elect Obama

General Motors will be finished building the new "First Car" at around the same time that Obama will be taking office in January. The limo will actually be truck based Cadillac that will replace the one that’s been in service since 2005.

Not much about the actual specs is known of the car but educated guesses have led people to believing that the car can withstand fire from assualt rifles (at least). I would also guess that the limo has it’s own air supply in event of a gas attack.

It is also presumed that GM is building several of these presidential limos to act as decoys for further protection of the Commander-in-Chief.

I wonder how the finished product will compare to Knight Rider’s KITT?
