Barack Obama Looking For Ways to Keep His BlackBerry

As reported earlier, the powers that be are trying to strip President-Elect Obama of his beloved BlackBerry. Well, it isn’t gonna go out without a fight. In a recent interview with Barbara Walters, he revealed that he was working to find a solution to the whole surrender-your-cellphones at the door policy.
"One of the things that I’m going to have to work through is how to break through the isolation, the bubble that exists around the president," Obama said. "And I’m in the process of negotiating with the Secret Service, with lawyers, with White House staff … to figure out how can I get information from outside of the 10 or 12 people who surround my office in the White House. Because one of the worst things I think that can happen to a president is losing touch with the struggles that people are going through every day."
No word on how White House officials will take to his insurgence. Maybe he’ll just get a DS and call it a day.

White House Officials May Force Obama to Ban His BlackBerry from Oval Office

Barack Obama is quite the fan of the BlackBerry. However, there are actual laws in place that all but bar Obama’s gadget from the Oval Office. Potentially.
The law in question is the Presidential Records Act, which requires all official correspondance to be made available for public domain. This means 3 a.m. BlackBerry emails will have to be curbed considerably. However, aides to the president-elect say he has a laptop at the ready to sit on the historic Oval Office desk.

Israeli Candidate Copies Barack Obama Presidential Website – Nobody Cares

The campaign website of Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu, who is running for Prime Minister of Israel, is eerily similar to Obama’s campaign site. Take a look for yourself above. Everything seems to have been copied, from the color scheme to the donation areas to the integration of social networking platforms. Nobody on Netanyahu’s camp seems to be denying it, also. Let’s see if it the Israeli copy can repeat it’s American political box office gold.

Barack Obama Plans to Conduct Weekly Chats Via Youtube

In a Web 2.0 update of FDR’s famous fireside chats, President-Elect Barack Obama has pledged to film weekly chats that can be viewed on the Youtube video streaming service. This comes as no surprise, given that during his campaign he uploaded over 1,100 videos and racked up over 110 million views. The talks will also go out over the radio.
In addition to the weekly addresses, cabinet members and policy experts will be holding Q&As and video interviews at Change.gov. Obama will release his first chat, which is expected to cover the transition, next week.
