Spider Phone

What if Uncle Ben were never shot? Peter Parker would have never learned his lesson, fought the Green Goblin or made movies. Instead, he might have become a successful real estate tycoon with the goals of making lots of money every day and be with Mary Jane every night. And he would have used this cellphone patent. I can’t wait to see someone actually have/use this thing.

Diabetes Phone

Finally a good idea with HealthPia’s diabetes phone which has received FDA approval " for its patent-pending technology that integrates a blood glucose meter with a standard-issue cellphone."
Specially equipped mobiles will contain a GlucoPack that allows you to test yourself and it seems that Verizon’s LG5200 will be the first off the line for consumers.

Google Rumors

With Google phone rumors flying everywhere, I thought I would indulge. If I were Verizon, Cingular, or any other phone company I would be scared, a new innovative and borderline CRAZY idea has hit the rumor mill. Free Cellular phone service, thanks to – Google. You read it right. FREE cell phone service. How is is this possible?
Google has a plan. They are going to bid on a piece of the radio wave pie for 4.6 billion give or take a 100 million or thus providing a platform for new software developments in the cell phone industry. The plan is to make cell phone service like Internet browsers the web surfer can pick his/her favorite and go from there. Except in Google’s case, it would be free for the user by generating revenue from the ads placed neatly in the Gphone.
This is a very loose and sketchy rumor I know, but the bits and pieces I have gathered have gotten me excited – and you should be too!

Google’s WiFi Phones

Now that the 700MHz frequency is up for grabs, Google is looking to develop and market a WiFi phone ASAP.
Taiwan’s Wistron NeWeb has entered design-in development for Wi-Fi phones with Google Talk compatibility, so stay tuned.

Bluetooth v 2.0

The best of Bluetooth has just been released. The BlueAnt Z9 wireless headset has a super sleek design. It won the most innovative design at CES 2007. The headset allows you to pair up to three phones/devices to it, even a computer. It features a dual microphone, voice isolation technology, and has firmware upgrades via USB. It has quick and easy switching via ring tones for each device. The Bluetooth device operates in two modes; normal day to day situations and extra noisy environments. It has a tie clip that can clip to your shirt or pocket. It allows up to 5.5 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby. Did I mention how cool it looks…
