HP Blackbird

Rumor has it that HP will be introducing a new desktop system called the HP Blackbird 002 next week. Some info on what it contains:
- versatile and configurable
- has full system, maintenance-free liquid cooling that draws heat away from the CPU, motherboard and GPUs.
- each heat source is contained in its own thermal chamber, making for a cooler environment
- provides easy access via a side panel
- all components can be removed and installed without tools.
- user-controlled overclocking

Dell’s Smokin’!

Looks like Dell overestimated how many way-overclockable Intel QX6800 Extreme processors it could get its hands one, and is therefore dropping its "Bin+3" version of the XPS 720H2C. Instead of overclocking from 2.93GHz to a (truly) blistering 3.73GHz, they’ll limit things to 3.46GHz. Hardcore gamers are likely a little bummed, but no impact on the typical user is anticipated. Microsoft Word will still write your novel faster than you can think of it.

DFI P35-T2R – The New Miss Motherboard USA!!!

Alrighty, so, it’s only the geekiest of geeks who would find this motherboard so attractive. But look at it: subtle shades of orange and yellow against a dusky black background reminiscent of the desert at night. I even sense some Tron in there, subliminal almost, and it gives me the willies. The fact that this sucker will overclock like a crazy animal only helps matters. Pricing is unavailable, but like they say: if you have to ask…
