Evo “Smart Console” Hopes to be the “System of Tomorrow”

Envizions Computer Entertainment intends enter the "console war" with Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo with the announcement of a linux-based console name the Evo "Smart Console."The company hopes to create a linux gaming development platform for the device. Tagged as the "System of Tomorrow," the EVO Smart Console is available for pre-order now but will retail for $250 with rebates. The console will offer "cloud" based computing applications, video on demand, Amiga-based games and all the other capabilities that a normal PC would have.
Microsoft Sidesight to Revolutionize UI on Mobile Devices

A Microsoft research project called Sidesight will eventually allow user input to mobile devices without actually touching the device. The use of proximity sensors around the perimeter of the device will allow the user to use multi-touch gestures to manipulate devices. I really think this is the future. This is multi-touch meets the computer from Minority Report.
Blackberry Bold at AT&T Stores Near You on Nov 4th

AT&T has finally decided to start selling the much awaited Blackberry Bold starting November 4th for $299. The Bold is RIM’s latest and greatest update to the Pearl line up, with the company’s first integration of 3G capabilities into a phone. Besides 3G, the phone offers a spectacular display and a revamped UI. November 4th just can’t come too soon.
SMART is Microsoft Surface for Classrooms

SMART Technologies is about to announce the SMART Table, a Microsoft Surface-like device for the classroom. The company is aiming to put these in classrooms all over the nation for a measly $8000. According to the company:
"The SMART Table is a versatile learning center where groups of students can create, explore and discover together on the durable screen."
The device isn’t available yet, but I think the problem is not the device, it’s the technologically challenged teachers.
CineMassive OmegaPlex Sells Massive Display

CineMassive OmegaPlex is now selling a massive display for the cheap price tag of $12,995. I remember years back when I thought my 20 inch LCD was huge, but this is downright rediculous. The array of displays has a total resolution of 7860 x 3600 packing a whopping 27.6 million pixels.
