ASUS has announced two new laptops today: The 14.1-inch N80V and the 15.4-inch N50V. Both laptops have the option of T9400 / P8600 / P7350 Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs, up to 4GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GPU with 512MB of VRAM. The N80V offers up to 320GB in hard drive space while the N50V ascends up to 500GB. The N80V includes a WXGA display and the N50V offers WXGA / WXGA+ / WSXGA+ options. Each laptop also offers eSata, HDMI and a selection of USB ports. No word on price or availability as of yet.

eMachines is thinking holiday sales with the introduction of two low-priced models:

T3626 desktop starting out at $350 after a $50 mail-in rebate. Specs include 2.2GHz AMD Sempron 3800+ processor, NVIDIA GeForce 6100 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and a DVD burner.

The T5234 model starting at $435 (after a $50 rebate) with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ processor, the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner.

I just love power, especially when packaged in mobile forms.That goes for cars, motorcycles, and, of course, notebooks. The XtremeNotebook Xtreme 917V (wihch is a bit to type) provides some serious power for a low, low starting price of $2,399. The specs:

Should be available in the next few months, starting at $2,000 or so–which I find entirely reasonable, but then again I’m guessing the price could get astronomical when options are added.

Alienware displays yet another product to its innovative, and slightly creepy looking, computer retail line. This time it’s the Area 51 m9750 Notebook. The screen is 17" and includes Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors and dual 512MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphics cards with NVIDIA SLI technology.

The Area-51 m9750 boasts the following specs:

* Lightning-quick frame rates and standout image quality with dual NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX 512MB graphics cards with NVIDIA SLI technology.
* Multitasking to the max, thanks to the latest Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processors, which deliver 20 percent higher performance than previous-generation Intel Core Duo processors.

For a moment there, I thought it was a Sony VAIO. But it’s not: it’s the upcoming Dell XPS M1330, a beauty in its own right. Specs are pretty nifty with a Santa Rosa chipset, nVidia GeForce Go 8400M GS, and the obligatory USB, webcam, Wi-Fi, and WWAN options. Some other surprises are thrown in, but the real story is that it’s mighty pretty, and relatively small and light at 4 lbs or so. No idea on pricing yet, but I’m sure Dell will have to pay for that designer, who most likely sharpened his skills on anorexic runway models before breaking into the PC market.

HTPC-manufacturer Moneual has a slew of sweet and colorful PCs with a $695 base pricetag. Choose from pink, black, white, green, blue or orange cases. [I'll take one of each!] But there is more than just beauty here.

They feature liquid-cooled 64-bit dual-core Athlon 4400+ processors, integrated NVIDIA 6100 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and a vertically-mounted dual-layer DVD burner.

Sony has given is an early Christmas with 21, yes 21! new models of the popular VAIO. Four new series include the VAIO A, BX, FZ and G series, each with upgrades.

The top end of the lot are the VAIO A series laptops, with 17-inch displays (1920×1200 on the higher end model), T7100 or T7300 Core 2 Duo processors, up to 2GB of RAM, two 120GB hard drives, an optional Blu-ray drive, and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics.

Next is the FZ series with 15.4-inch displays, along with Core 2 Duo processors and slightly smaller hard drives.

VAIO BX models offer a choice of 14.1 or 15.4-inch displays, Core 2 Duo processors, up to 2GB of RAM, and a max 120GB hard drive.

Last, but defintely not least, is the VAIO G, with a 12.1-inch display, a Core Solo U1400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 80GB hard drive.

They are supposed to start rolling out in July (in Japan) starting at only $900. Look to spend $3,285 for the top end models though.
