Blockbuster CEO Jim Keyes suggested during a recent conference call with investors that the company may have a movie set top box available for the holiday season. The Xbox 360 has skyrocketed up the sales charts since it became an STB for Netflix. The Roku Netflix Player is also doing very well.

Keyes passed along no other pertinent information on the unit, however. No official pricing or release date was given.

In preparation for the November 19th launch of the new Xbox 360 Experience, Microsoft and Netflix are really pushing the online streaming service on the Xbox 360. Packaged with the Quantum of Solace game for Xbox 360, Microsoft is including a 48 hour Xbox Live Gold trial along with a "code" for a 48 hour Netflix trial.

I personally use Netflix and absolutely love it. I barely even use the DVD feature because I prefer to just watch streaming movies on my computer, but when the new Xbox 360 Experience rolls out, I be sure to watch streaming movies on my 42 inch HDTV instead.

Roku has announced a partnership with entertainment giant Netflix in order to bring HD streaming to consumers by the end of the year. Currently, Netflix offers no option to instantly stream content in high definition. Roku will be releasing a $99 dollar standalone Netflix player that will feature HD streaming, according to the company’s VP of Consumer Products. They also promise a tweaked interface to "suit all of those extra pixels." The unit will even be able to handle all of that HD streaming goodness at a lower bitrate than previously expected.

Netflix has finally opened their "Watch Instantly" feature to Mac owners. The service, which allows customers to stream from the Netflix catalog, has been a PC-exclusive since it’s inception. The service works via a Microsoft program called Silverlight. You’ll need to download that to your Mac before you can stream the night away.

Also, the company has imposed an Apple-like restriction on the number of devices your account can stream content from. As of now, it’s a six device limit.

Netflix and Tivo have finally announced the type of partnership that we have all been waiting for. You can now watch streaming video from Netflix directly on your Tivo. This improves on the year old partnership that only allowed for manipulation of your online queue from the Tivo.

Netflix, the largest online movie rental service, now offers their movie streaming on Netflix boxes, PCs, Macs, Tivo and Xbox360 (starting November 19th with update).

According to a Netflix Press Release:
