Down with the Cell Towers!
I thought I’d share something funny, especially when it has to deal with cell phones and unreliable service. This guy over in Australia, yeah the land down under, so don’t blame any of our service providers (even though they should watch their back) for him snapping. He totally went commando and drove a tank through six cell phone towers and was arrested while heading for his seventh one. Many of you wish you could just give it to the cell phone companies huh?

I thought it was good enough for a nerdfind.
Treo 700p Maintenance Update Finally Released…

At least for one CDMA provider. With disgruntled 700p users on Palm’s heels for improved Bluetooth support, snappier performance, and overall better system stability, Palm issued their highly sought after firmware update for Sprint users only, leaving Verizon users, such as yours truly, crying in the corner for mommy. Palm has said the Verizon update is "coming soon," which in "Palmspeak" means buy a 755p.
Or maybe Palm wants us to invest in some other contraption.
The Ultimate Geek Cab

Some of us have trouble pulling ourselves away from the computer and sometimes that can be OK. But if you need your fix of video gaming and Internet surfing and happen to live in Austin, Texas, you may want to call Ricky Gray for a cab. Gray has outfitted his minivan-turned-taxi with two LCD TVs on which customers can play Play station 2 games on, watch TV, and surf the Internet.
Gray’s exceptional service, combined with a geeked out cab make for a great time while cruising around the Austin area. He says his future plans include upgrading the PS2 to a PS3, getting bigger LCD TVs, and adding a satellite dish so better programming is available. If he added a snack machine, I’m pretty sure it’d be worth taking the scenic route on every trip.
Performance artist Stelarc implants “third ear” in forearm

Picking up where the Vacanti mouse left off, Australian performance artist Stelarc went through with his plans to implant a cell-cultivated ear beneath the skin of his forearm earlier this year, and he’s now showing off the results for the world to squirm at. Stelarc apparently isn’t satisfied with his newfound appendage just yet, however, and is reportedly planning another surgery to give the ear "more definition." What’s more, he’s also hoping to implant a microphone inside the ear that’ll use a Bluetooth transmitter to, you guessed it, broadcast what it hears over the Internet.
Totally Nerdy or Nerdy Cool? Lexon Foam Radio

Maybe I’m just a sucker for gadgets made in unusual shapes and materials, but the Lexon Foam Radio, $49, has won me over. The regular metal radio is wrapped in bright foam sponge (no word yet if it comes in additional colors, it was just released in April). I realize that in this age of MP3 players and online music streaming, radios are a little passé, but every house needs access to NPR and local news. I say if it comes out of something spongey and orange, all the better.
