What’s the Deal With USBs?

Ok, what’s the deal with all the USB accesories? I don’t get it. Everywhere I turn some designer comes up with an "uber" cleaver design or concept for a USB, what’s up with that? Who cares? Yeah, maybe that weird group of geeks in high school care enough to buy a (insert favorite thing here) USB gadget, but for corporate America? I just don’t see the appeal? Why spend money on a device that is going to be out dated in a couple of months anyway, when Apple comes out with some ultra cool and sexy alternative to USB’s?
Someone leave a comment and fill me in, please.

Night Vision

Wow, that was brief news. I’m sorry to announce that "Darth Vader Rises" post, which was posted here on NerdGrind.com has been erased. Was it rouge hackers working for the Jedi’s? Or did Lucas finally catch on that I love Star Wars.
In any case for those lucky and quick enough to catch that geeky news – Cheers. For the others who desperately want Darth Vader News, get a pair of these National Geographic’s iGEN NV20/20 Night Scope and look into the dark. Then, maybe….just maybe you’ll spot the ever elusive blog post.
But seriously folks this night vision thingamajig is pretty sweet, costs about $520 and debuts in April 2008.

..And Your Little Dog Too!

Let’s Recap: I live in a place called Marin. It’s in California and people there are pretty wealthy for the most part (unless you’re me). Any ways, these Super rich people are Super annoying with their little dogs.
Dogs are allowed pretty much everywhere, in stores, banks, resturants, police stations – you name it and they’re there!
If you havent’ guessed I detest these little critters. Yet, I am not just a complainer, I am willing to do something about it. I have invented a way for these toy dogs to never leave the mansion they live in. Actually, I didn’t invent it. These people did. Click on the price to read on. $149.95.

Neonode concept gadgets

It was this concept art that drew me into the Neonode exhibit, and i have to admit, the concept art is super cool. These guys are taking trends to new extremes.
Neonode is also demoing a cellphone that they’re going to release commercially in summer of this year, called the N2. It’s smaller than a credit card and weighs only 60 grams. The nterface is a 176×220 touchscreen (which is all the rage now, of course) but unlike the iPhone, the touchscreen of the N2 is not heat dependent, so it’ll work if you’ve got gloves on. Look for it this summer, but they’re not saying what network yet.
thanks Evan for the info
