Medion hasn’t given us any new navigators in quite a while, so the 5-inch GoPal P5430 comes as a nice surprise. The features are merely adequate, but it’s the thought that counts.

The European PND sports a 5-inch touchscreen display, integrated TMC antenna, fingerprint sensor, text-to-speech functionality, an inbuilt FM transmitter and pre-installed NAVTEQ maps of Western and Eastern Europe. The unit is priced at £175 ($269) which isn’t exactly the best deal in the world either. Still, if you have a European road trip coming up and you are jonesin’ for a navigator, this would suit in a pinch.

Navigon has released their 8100T navigator. The company describes the unit as "uber-premium." Why you may ask? Well, let’s take a look at the specs.

It includes a 4.8-inch display, brushed-metal housing, a 3D view using NASA terrain data, free real-time traffic updates for life, voice destination entry, Bluetooth handsfree support, text-to-speech functionality and an inbuilt lane assistant. Premium features to be sure. It still remains to be seen if it’s worth the hefty $599 price tag though.
