ZOOZ Mobile Releases ZOOZBeat Music Studio Application on Nokia N95

ZOOZ Mobile has just released a Nokia N95-compatible version of it’s ZOOZBeat application. The app turns your phone into a gesture-based mobile music studio. The application is already available for iPhone and the Nokia release comes as quite a surprise.
It makes perfect use of the built-in accelerometers of the Nokia N95. Pick an instrument, and tap or tilt to create your own songs. It’s really that easy. A lite version of the program is available for free with the full-fledged program costing $2.99.

New Beatles box set – gigantic – comes with 120 GB iPod

Goo goo g’joo g’joob! Bloomingdale’s says it wants a revolution with it’s new limited edition Beatles box set. The set is absolutely massive. It includes thirteen original Beatles’ CDs, an engraved guitar pick, two masters and the "Love" CD. Only 2,500 of the sets are being made, however. All you need is love, and $795 bucks, in order to get one.
Also, you may have noticed the fab four and their team of musically inclined lawyers have not been exactly forthright with their love of the iTunes music store. Don’t worry. The set also includes an engraved 120GB iPod so you can rip here, there and everywhere until you achieve happiness.

XS Games releases “Popstar” for Wii

XS Games has just released a Wii game called "Popstar." It’s sort of like "Guitar Hero" but instead of a guitar with four colored buttons on it you get a Wiimote condom with four colored buttons on it. The game has you performing various pop songs by pushing the buttons in tandem with nunchuck attachment. Before you open your window and scream "We’ve seen this before fifty thousand times", word on the street is that it’s actually fun.
MTV’s Patrick Klepek went hands on with the device and did say the functionality was a bit uncomfortable though. Still, the game has an estimated retail price of $59.99. That’s a heck of a lot less than the $200 you’ll be forking down for "Guitar Hero: World Tour."

Twin Solid State Musical Tesla coils playing Mario Bros theme song at the 2007 Lightning on the Lawn Teslathon sponsored by DC Cox (Resonance Research Corp) in Baraboo WI. The music that you hear is coming from the sparks that these two identical high power solid state Tesla coils are generating. There are no speakers involved. The Tesla coils stand 7 feet tall and are each capable of putting out over 12 foot of spark. They are spaced about 18 feet apart. The coils are controlled over a fiber optic link by a single laptop computer. Each coil is assigned to a midi channel which it responds to by playing notes that are programed into the computer software.
