Do you ever wonder how dirty your mouse gets? I mean you have this little thing that is attached to your computer for it’s duration, which can be anywhere from 2-5 years, and never once does the mouse get sanitized. Gross. Well, for all you germaphobes, your prayers have been answered. It’s called the The Belkin Washable Mouse. It has a cool design in which the scroll wheel is changed into a "scroll pad" that requires just a touch to let you scroll vertically or horizontally, which translates to: completely waterproof!

Now you can breath easy because all those boogers, hand gunk, and germs will come right off in the sink, and your mouse will come out smelling clean, fresh and good as new.

boy thumbs up Booger Free?

awesome.

If you can’t build a better mousetrap, slap some color on the old stuff and try to convince buyers it is new and improved.

Sony is hoping that one of its colorful SMU-C3 or SMU-M10s will reel you in with white, green, pink, and black color schemes. For those who need specs, they have an 800dpi optical sensor, that wider scrollwheel (I never had any trouble finding the thinner wheel), integrated wire storage, and is compatible with OS X, Windows XP, and Vista.

The SMU-M10 has a slimmer design with a built-in groove for wrapping the USB cable around it "for transport."

I’m not leaving my 5-button mouse for anything.

Microsoft says the Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000 will be available next month for $149.95. That’s good news. I tried previous wireless mouse and keyboards from Microsoft, and found them to be unusable due to interference. There are a limited number of channels available in the 2.4 GHz frequency, and 2 different ways to use them, FHSS and DSSS. Frequency hopping spread spectrum is the better of the two for a mouse and keyboard, because it hops around the 11 channels continuously to avoid interference. Direct sequence spread spectrum locks in on one channel, which means it can receive interference from your 2.4 GHz phone, etc.

I may just give the 7000 a try.

When you see this in operation, your first words will be "That’s Cool!" That’s what I muttered and then laughed when I looked at the name again :)

Cooliris will preview any website, image or video link and is customizable. Great for surfing ebay listings! Think of the possibilities. No steep learning curve either. To Preview a link, mouse over the link and then the Cooliris icon to get a fully functional smaller window with the page.

The best Firefox extension, or at the very least, one of the best. It is also available for IE, Safari, and Flock.
