Electric Motorsport releases GPR-S e-motorcycle for $8,000

Electric Motorsport has released the fairly inexpensive GPR-S e-motorcycle. They’ve definitely taken a mass market approach with the bike. It boasts a 60-70 MPH top speed and a 35-60 mile range. This makes it great for commuter rides, and not so great to visit your grandmother three states away. It can charge in about four hours, or 1.5 hours if you use an optional speed charger.
The GPR-S is also modular in fashion, meaning you can plug and play other devices into the bike as they become available. Kind of cool. Like an Apple bike.
The company has sold 25 so far but they are currently available and as stated before, only a paltry $8,000. What are you waiting for? The Sturgis Rally is coming up.

Brammo’s Enertia is a plug-in bike that does 0-60 MPH in under 4 seconds and can go for up to 50 miles on one charge. Brammo is the Ashland, OR manufacturer that designed and built the bike, and claims it can reduce a commuter’s carbon footprint by 92 percent. It comes with six 12 Volt lithium-phosphate batteries, which don’t blow up when punctured (like the Lithium Ion ones) Since it does not need a fuel tank, it weighs only 275 pounds, 86 pounds of which are the batteries. If you live in an apartment, you can carry it up the stairs and you have completed your workout for the day as well! Autos MSN
