Those of you who adopt this practice in order to squeeze out an extra month or two of battery life will find your Apple laptops run 40 or even 50 percent less efficiently.

This is apparently by design: The company made it so processor speed is lowered when the unit detects that its relying solely on A/C to power itself. It begins to demand less power than usual in order to avoid unpleasant shutdowns. The end result is your programs will start running slowly.

Faulty line of reasoning or not, best keep that battery resting snugly where it belongs. If you think this has been happening to you, Not really a big deal, but you know all Mac addicts will be screaming "fraud" with this one. This is probably the result of someone at Microsoft buying stock photos for ads. Simple blunder equals end of the road for Microsoft haters.

© Copyright As of yet, nobody is sure what is causing the glitch. Popular consensus seems to be that it is a software problem and not a problem with the trackpad itself. If you have one of the infected Macbook Pros, you can apply a quick bandaid fix. Go to the Trackpad option on System Preferences and move the slider for "Tracking Speed" up one notch.

© Copyright <a

The systems have been shown to be unsupportive of 8GB of RAM, however. Attempting 8GB, according to Ramjet, has been rendering the OS unusable.

Ramjet recommends you obtain the 6GB by utilizing a new 4GB 1066 SO-DIMM paired with a 2GB. A company representative says the performance gained by having the extra two gigs more than negates the loss that comes from having an unmatched pair. The 4GB/2GB combo will set you back around $675.

© Copyright <a
