Next Gen Lithium Batteries Have 8X Battery Life

Korean Professor Cho Jae-phil in the Department of Applied Chemistry at Hanyang University has developed a new cathode material that extends the "battery life" capacity of Lithium batteries 8 times the capacity of batteries currently made.
Batteries today are made using graphite whereas Jae-phil uses silicon to achieve the major increase in performance.
Lithium batteries are used in all laptop, cell phone and mobile electronics. This is a huge break for the future of mobile electronics.

Gateway Notebook Batteries Are Fire Hazard
Gateway Lithium Ion battery packs, about 14,000 of them, are being recalled by Gateway due to potential fire hazards.
These are the primary or spare battery pack for some Gateway 400VTX and 450ROG series notebooks, and are identified by part numbers: 6500760 or 6500761.
Gateway has received four reports of these Chinese battery packs overheating.
If you have one of these, pull that battery out and you can still use your laptop with AC power.

The Colors in the Dell

New Inspirons are coming according to French forum lesDelliens
Rumor has it that the 1720 maxes out with a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo T7500, a 17-inch WUXGA TrueLife display, 256MB of GeForce 8600M WP graphics, up to 2x 2.5-inch SATA disk with RAID 0/1 support, 802.11n and Gigabit Ethernet, lots of inputs and output and USB-only docking station.
The 1520 packs is similar with a 15.4-inch WSXGA+ TrueLife display and what appears to be a hybrid hard drive option and Blu-ray disc drive which is likely available for the 17-inch as well.
The 5.5-pound 1420 offers a 9-cell Lithium Ion battery option and the same HHD option only under a smaller 14.4-inch WXGA+ TrueLife display.

Stealth Motorcycle for Quiet Rebels
The Stealth Motorcycle is a lithium ion powered beast. Well, maybe not beast…maybe more of a beast jr. or beast cub. Because any motorcycle that can’t top 50mph is just a moped in our book. While I love the concept and even like the design, I shuddered when the word "chopper" was used to describe a virtually silent motorcycle. Let’s get this baby up to 88 miles per hour then maybe we’ll talk.
My preference is the electric-powered all lithium ion battery Tesla Roadster is capable of rocketing to 60mph in just 4-seconds, with a top speed of 130mph. Best of all, it’s rated at 135mpg and has a 250-mile range fully charged (3.5-hours). Click below to see the amazing video of the Tesla Roadster…
