When a new Virtual Machine, or Virtual PC, is setup in Virtualbox for Ubuntu, or another Linux flavor, the screen size and screen resolution may be fixed smaller than your maximum resolution setting. This problem can be fixed by installing Guest Additions.
Linux Finally Ported to Apple iPhone and iPod Touch – Video

Linux has finally been ported to the iPhone and iPod touch. Several independent developers have masterminded the project, bringing everyone’s favorite open-source OS to Apple’s handhelds. It may not offer any touchscreen drivers, sound or WiFi support, its still the first step to hack heaven.

Dospara Releases Atom-Powered Prima Note Cartina UM Netbook in Japan

Dospara has released their Prime Note Cartina UM 8.9-inch netbook in Japan this week. The thing is powered by a 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU and possesses 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The Prima Note Cartina has a 120GB hard drive, a 1,024 x 600 panel, 802.11b/g WiFi anda battery designed to last two hours. The netbook comes with a variant of Linux pre-installed. For you folks visiting Japan in the near future, you can grab one for ¥39,980 or $413 American Dollars.
Legacy Entertainment Releases USB-enabled Joystick that Looks like Atari Controller

Legacy Entertainment has released a joystick that doubles as an homage to the legendary Atari 2600 controller. The joystick just looks like an Atari controller, however. It’s fully Windows, OS X and Linux compatible and connects via USB. The company claims it will work flawlessly with "nearly any emulator" so you can seek out the original games that the joystick helped make so much fun. It costs just $14.99 and it’s currently available.
ASUS CEO Says $200 Eee PC in 2009

Jerry Shen, CEO of ASUS, noted recently that his company would release an Eee PC priced at US$200 in 2009. He also noted to a group of analysts that the 7- and 8.9 inch Eee PCs would be discontinued to make room for the 10-inch model. Shen did not clarify as to whether or not that meant the 10-inch Eee PC would be $200. He also gave the group some figures, noting that 70% of all Eee PCs now come loaded with Windows XP and hard disk drives compared to 30% that come loaded with Linux and SSDs.
