CF in 266x

Kingston’s latest CF lineup comes in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB sizes, with write speeds of up to 266x, and prices of $83, $144, or $280.
“Photographers using digital SLR cameras are looking for faster card write speeds to capture life’s moments as they happen without interruption,” said Mark Akoubian, Flash memory product manager, Kingston. “Kingston’s new CompactFlash Ultimate 266X memory cards maximize a digital camera’s performance, delivering the speed and capacity necessary to complete even the most challenging assignments.”
Kingston says the new 266x is twice the minimum sustained write speed previously available in the Ultimate line.
SPACE!!
like space? here’s 8GB worth. Kingston’s done it again. Its’ new DataTraveler II Plus max is 8 gigs, along with a $154 price tag. Not too bad.

DataTraveler USB Drives

Another USB flash drive: Kingston’s 8GB pair include the DataTraveler II for 8GB flavor ($154 and comes with Migo’s data synchronization software), and the DataTraveler 100 retractable which also comes in 1GB ($19), 2GB ($32), 4GB ($59), and 8GB ($116) sizes.
The Billboards Are Watching You

If you’ve ever seen a poster in the mall that you’ve liked and stared at it for some time, chances are, that poster will be staring right back. This is, however, not so much of a "Big Brother" gimmick as much as it is a marketing tool. From xuuk, a Canadian-based company specializing in cutting-edge technology, comes the eyebox2. This contraption is essentially a tiny video camera surrounded by infrared light-emitting diodes. It can record eye contact with 15-degree accuracy at a distance of up to 33 feet, so even a simple glance from someone in passing will be tallied into the score. The plan is to install these cameras into posters and billboards everywhere potential customers tend to thrive.
OCZ announces PC3-8500 and PC3-10666 DDR3 RAM

Don’t look now Kingston, but OCZ is already going mano-a-mano with your DDR3 offering by introducing PC3-8500 (1066MHz) and PC3-10666 (1333MHz) RAM modules of its own. Designed to play nice with Intel’s Bearlake chipset, the noticeably flashy DIMMs will be offered initially in in 2 x 512MB and 2 x 1024MB dual channel kits. The Gold DDR3 modules will sport the outfit’s proprietary gold-mirrored XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreaders for boosting their heat dissipation abilities, and as with other premium products from OCZ, these too come with a lifetime warranty. Interestingly, the company claims that these are currently available but in "limited quantities," which means that you’ll probably want to hold up on busting out your credit card if at all possible.
