Dell has released a red version of their popular Inspiron Mini 9 for the Japanese market. The red netbook will finally be released today in Japan, after being rumored to exist since May. Dell Japan has also announced the Inspiron Mini 9 Platinum Package, which features a 32GB SSD for ¥54,980 or about $565.The company offers no word when or if the Red Mini will be coming to America.

Starting December 1st, Optoma will begin selling the world’s smallest and lightest projector in Japan. It will be available at Apple stores all over Japan for use in conjunction will Apple devices and other 3rd party devices.

The device will sell for $500 and have a battery life of 2 hours. The remarkable device measure 0.67 x 2 x 4.1 inches and can produce images up to 60 inches at 480 x 320 resolution at 1000:1 contrast.

No news on it’s appearance in American markets yet.

Japan’s Sega Toys division plans on releasing a watch with media player built-in. The watch, called Digipod Trek, is capable of playing music and video, displaying pictures and recording voice notes. It connects to your computer via USB and contains a speaker for sound with a headset jack on the side.

The toy will sell for $130.

Japan’s foremost cell phone provider, NTT DoCoMo has released their fall 2008 release schedule. The company will be releasing 22 mobiles in the coming months, all divided into the STYLE, PRIME, SMART and PRO series. The PRO series includes the BlackBerry Bold, Nokia E71, HTC Touch and Sharp SH-04A. So, it looks like Japan will be seeing the Bold just a month or so after AT&T brought it to the states.
