MacBook Air!!

Apple just announced the .16-inch thin MacBook Air — a laptop so thin it fits in a manila envelope. The new machine features a full-size keyboard and LED-backlit 13.3-inch display with built-in iSight, and the new larger trackpad supports multi-touch gestures. Just like the iPhone, you’ll be able to pan around, pinch to zoom, and rotate with two fingers, and move windows with a flick. Apple got the size down by using the same 1.8-inch 80GB drive that’s in the iPod classic, but you’ll be able to order a 64GB SSD as an option. The Air eschews optical media, but there’s a separate external you can snag for $99 and Apple’s also announced a feature called Remote Disk that’ll let the Air get data off the optical drive in any PC or Mac running the Remote Disk software. Pricing starts at $1799, and the Air will be shipping in two weeks.
New Apps

Ipod finally got some much needed attention: Apple just announced that Mail, Maps, Stocks, Notes and Weather are all coming to the iPod touch. Cool little additions if your looking to buy a new ipod touch, but for all you who rushed into getting one, you’ll have to fork over a bank-breaking $20 bucks!
Barbie iPod Dock

Oh yuk – here comes the Barbie iPod dock with FM radio and alarm clock. Those super ugly flowers (is this from the 70s?) actually conceal speakers. Hey – if that kid can handle an iPod, then she can handle a "normal" dock.
Questions to Ponder

Some are scratching their heads about the iPod Touch. Like….
Why does the screen look different then the iPhone one?
Why did Apple give us that rear casing that scratches up just from looking at it?
Why can you add contacts, but not calendar appointments to the touch?
Is this all on purpose?.
Can’t Touch That

It seems that some of Apple’s international sites had been claiming that the iPod Touch could add calendar appointments with its calendar app. But no so, Grasshopper. It will show calendar entries made on your computer, but you cannot make new ones. And no one knows why Apple had made it that way.
