Human Electric Hybrid – Bike, That Is

It sounds like something out of The Terminator–a "human electric hybrid." But, it’s actually a bike that you can buy now. Made by Matra, the MS1 can run for 62 miles on the juice, achieving a speed-limited velocity of 28 mph and capturing energy during braking. The "human" part is what comes in when the electricty runs out–you pedal. Sounds good to me, but the $4,951 price tag is a bit much. It would take quite a few trips to the grocery store to get a payback on that investment.

Writing on the Keyboard

The A1Pro selling for only $25.48 is a hybrid keyboard of sorts which incorporates a writing pad. Unfortunately, it sits in the very spot the rest of us find our 10-key pad, which is not such a good idea.
Regardless, the idea of have a writing tablet or perhaps a small graphics tablet designed right into a keyboard is a great idea! I would buy that product.

Hybrid + Segways

Meet the Opel Flextreme with a storage compartment for two Segway scooters. One has to wonder – why?

Electric Car by Edison/Ford

The electric companies want to keep their fingers in the consumer pie and continue to push for electric cars. Ford and Edison are embarking on this very project — in the creation of vehicles capable of being plugged into a power outlet. The new cars will use a combustion engine in a hybrid mode.
Details are forthcoming soon from a press conference in California.

The Froggetmee: The New Spork

My name is Schirn, and I’m a ramenholic. And all ramenholics are incomplete without the Froggetmee, a nifty combo of a spoon and pair of chopsticks right there in your hand, at the same time. Seriously, I can’t believe this how simple, yet ingenious this is.
It is about 11" long and made of good old fashioned plastic. You can find it at shopmodi for 8 bucks, but you’ll have to wait until the stock is replenished.
