hijpij Radioactive Dog

This picture kind of reminds me of The Simpson’s. You know, when Homer is handling the nuclear rod through those freaky gloves/protective sheet? Yeah well, this smart shower curtain does just that, but instead of protecting you from nuclear radiation, it protects you from wet dog. I think it’s an excellent idea for those who care enough about their precious pets to give them a bath indoors. Personally my dog loves the garden hose.

you can find the curtain here and it costs $24.95.

7 26 07 tp1 Sonys VAIO TP1 Full of Goodness but Looks Like Ottoman

That might not seem fair, but I swear: I was in a furniture store the other day and saw an ottoman that looked just like Sony’s new VAIO TP1 HTPC. Which might be on purpose, because this thing certainly won’t fit in any A/V rack that I know of. It’s also not the most well-equipped HTPC on the market, with neither an HD optical drive nor CableCARD capability. It does have a Core 2 Duo running at 1.83GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel 950 integrated graphics (yuck!), 300GB SATA HDD, standard dual-layer DVD, and a TV tuner. So, nothing to write home about, but maybe it’s made of soft leather and will let you take a load off. Pricing is $1,599.99 and up.

slingcatcher 1 Gotta Wait Until Autumn for Slings SlingCatcher

If you’ve been waiting like the rest of us media hounds for Sling to release their SlingCatcher home media streamer, it’s like they say: misery loves company. Just kidding, although the word from Sling is that they tried for the summer, missed by a few months, and should have this baby out by the end of the year. So, just an update, don’t yah know.

gensoourora Aurora Borealis

I always wanted to go to the Arctic Circle so I can see one thing, the Aurora Borealis. But, thanks to GensoOurora I don’t have to brave the bitter cold and ice. This neat device mimics the Northern Lights in the comfort of your home. At $60, there is no word yet on how realistic though, but it better be good.
