The Homebrew Channel is back on the Wii, thanks to an exploited flaw in the newest system update. The October 23rd system update shut down a previous installment of the service, but they persevered and once again find themselves thriving. They’ve even tossed in SDHC support this time around. All of you homebrew enthusiasts should get to it before the next system update arrives and ruins all of their hard work.

Ah, America. Mom. Apple pie. Baseball. Cheating? Maybe my grandfather was right when he said "Computers? Buncha mumbo jumbo." Diebold recently admitted their voter machines were about as easy to hack as an Apple 2e and now this.

Princeton researchers spent a lot of time with the Sequoia e-voting machine and things don’t look pretty for the future of America. They released a 158 page report detailing just how easy it is to hack into it. A researcher was able to bypass the security mechanisms in thirteen seconds. This, also, was with the device located inside of the standard-issue lockbox. Thirteen seconds.I yawn longer than that.

Also, once hacked, it’s easy to transfer malicious code to other units as they are all networked together. Well, look on the bright side. Now I’ll finally be able to get ALF elected to congress. I’ve been dreaming of that since elementary school. Ha! I kill me!

Here is a link to the report.

The video show ways to ways to use Google, and its search engine, to perform tasks like control web cams, and a lot more. This video is for information purposes only. The video doesn’t show security holes created by Google’s search engine, but rather security holes in web sites that are found by the Google spider because they are … security holes that should be closed by the web site owner. In a way Google’s search engine helps site owners check to make sure their sites are secure. Perhaps after watching this video you might suddenly get a cold chill down your spine as you realize your web site is vulnerable to one of these hacks.
