hova Roots

Plants lovers might want to take a gander at this new plant pot that encases roots and soil with fabric as opposed to plastic, ceramic, terracotta, and the like. Hova FabricPots are stable, yet lightweight, comprised of a fabric sleeve attached to a solid base with a zipper to allow expansion for easy extraction of the root ball when re-potting. The fabric sleeve allows for proper aeration of the soil enabling the free flow of air and wator vapor while keeping liquids at bay. Hova pots are available in two shapes and various patterns with a price range of $30 to $40 for those who love to spoil their houseplants.

Thanks Core77 for the info.

Ford announced that it could be on the verge of producing hydrogen cars into the market within the next 5 years if things go right.  They’ve been using 12 passenger shuttle buses powered by internal combustion hydrogen engines and it’s been the closet they’ve been to a mass production.

We really believe this technology is ready to be evaluated at the consumer level

They’ve been monitoring the buses across the United States, harping on the zero emissions and the greater fuel economy.  Go green earth!

art.ancient.greenland Greenland=Really Green

Research has shown that Greenland did once have green landscapes a half million years ago. Research was gathered in south central Greenland by drilling through ice 1.2 miles thick. Traces of DNA were found that gave traces of several species of trees, such as pine and yew, as well as insects such as butterflies and moths.

"These findings allow us to make a more accurate environmental reconstruction of the time period from which these samples were taken, and what we’ve learned is that this part of the world was significantly warmer than most people thought," Martin Sharp, a glaciologist at the University of Alberta, Canada, and a co-author of the paper, said in a statement.

greener electronic Nokia, Dell, Lenovo Lead the Green

Greenpeace increased Apple’s marks just for promising to be more green in the future, but Nokia came out on top along with Dell and Lenovo which garnered second place. Apple and Sony were near the bottom of the pile.

Greenpeace is aggressive in criticizing electronics manufacturers: ‘The electronics ranking guide has been our answer to getting the electronics industry to face up to the problem of e-waste. We want manufacturers to take responsibility for the unprotected child laborers who scavenge the mountains of cast-off gadgets created by our gizmo-loving ways.’

Greenpeace also states: ‘We’ve been happily surprised at how quickly many corporations have risen to the competitive challenge. It’s especially rewarding to see more than a few CEOs openly vying for the top green spot, and challenging their competitors to adopt industry-wide policies to reduce the problem of e-waste.’
