Air Buoyant’s self-described "Segway of the sky," is a $10,000 flying machine which uses a gasoline or ethanol powered 440cc engine to fly you along at 40 mph while basically standing on top of a propellor.

Not enough danger thrills for you? You can always jump out of an airplane without a parachute.

The US is deploying an undisclosed number of MQ-9 Reapers to Afghanistan, and then eventually Iraq. These "hunter-killer" drones (gotta love that terminology) can hit 300 mph and 50,000 feet, making them formidable whether manned or unmanned. Of course, these are the latter, and are flown out of Nevada. Looks like some flight simulator geeks will finally get some good use out of those years of idle "flying."

Mexico’s Tecnologia Aeroespacial Mexicana and Jetpack International now offer these jet packs for sale.

For a mere $250,000 you can strap on this 125-pound contraption for a 30-second "flight."

Jetpack International, in Colorado has a hydrogen-peroxide-burning Jet Pack H202 can stay in the air for 33 seconds, weighs 139 pounds, and is only $155,000 — flight classes and all.

Jetpack is already working on a $200,000 model that will burn jet fuel, allowing it to stay airborne for 19 minutes.

Jetpack’s founder Troy Widgery: "If something goes wrong, you can get killed. Thirty-three seconds of fuel makes an inexperienced pilot twitchy."

"With 19 minutes you can take things slower. You aren’t spending the whole flight thinking about where to land."
