
RIM Releases Firmware Update For BlackBerry Storm Early

It seems RIM has secretly released Firmware update 4.7.0.75 for their new BlackBerry Storm. Rumor had it the company was going to wait for a wide release on the update, but it seems they went with the silent but deadly approach instead.

Sony Offers Firmware Upgrade that Includes Flash Support for PS3 Tomorrow

Last month, Sony gave us a treat with the release of firmware 2.50 for their PS3. Now, as a bit of Thanksgiving cheer, the company has readied firmware version 2.53. The update will hit the wires sometime on November 26th and will bring along full-screen Flash support. Finally. The update will also offer a power save option to save your dying controllers.

QuickPwn and PwnageTool Already Updated to Support iPhone Firmware 2.2

Both QuickPwn and PwnageTool have been updated to support the recent iPhone 2.2 firmware upgrade. They sure do work at breakneck speeds to allow you to jailbreak your beloved iPhones. The firmware upgrade was just released less than 72 hours ago. Color me impressed.
Below is a video of what sounds like an 8-year old kid showing us how to install the programs into the new firmware upgrade. Kids learn just as fast as hackers these days.

iPhone 2.2 Firmware Update Now Available – Includes Google Street View and More

The latest iPhone firmware update is here and available for download. If you need any convincing before you snap it up, the update includes a Google Street View application and the ability to download Podcasts straight to the iPhone.
On the Street View front, all the bells and whistles are here. The public transit and walking directions are all in place.
Additionally, there were some bug fixes, Safari enhancements and the ability to toggle auto-text correction. The Podcast downloads have been reported to work flawlessly, as well. Get ye to the iTunes store and make your iPhone a little bit better.

T-Mobile Offers Firmware Upgrade for G1 – Able to be Manually Installed

T-Mobile’s RC29 upgrade for their G1 arrives on November 11th. For the impatient, there is a way to manually force the upgrade. Simply download the update and move it to a MicroSD card. That’s pretty much it. T-Mobile has warned that the manual upgrade isn’t officially supported, so if you muck up your G1 you are on your own. Also, the company has yet to reveal exactly what is on the upgrade. Curious yet?
