

ASUS Eee PC 1002HA Hands-on Video – Netbook Releases December 1st

The Eee PC 1002HA is on track for a December 1st release date. Publications have begun to receive review units and thus fars reviews are looking positive. Reviewers note that it looks similar to the Eee PC S101 due to its trackpad and to the Eee PC 1000H due to its keyboard. The unit will house a 1.6 GHz Atom CPU with 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. ASUS claims the two-cell battery of the 1002HA will give you five hours of plug-free computing time.

Asus Launches Eee Touchscreen Desktop Computer

It’s official, Asus unveiled the Asus Eee Top, a 15.6 inch all-in-one touchscreen PC for your desktop. It was officially announced and unveiled hours ago in Taipei. Reports of hands-on use describe the desktop as having the same basic feel as an Eee PC. The desktop comes running XP, but also has an "Easy Mode" UI that runs aloft XP for use with the touchscreen.

The ET1602, which was announced today, will cost around $580 but the more powerful version ET1603, with better graphics and battery, will probably cost more when it ges released in the coming weeks.

ASUS Releases Touchscreen Desktop Computer Tomorrow in Taiwan

ASUS is releasing their 15.6-inch touchscreen EEE Top computer tomorrow in Taipei. ASUS will release the unit at a formal press conference. The unit has a 15.6-inch touchscreen LCD, a 160GB hard disk, 802.11.n WiFi, some 4-watt speakers, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. The Top runs on a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor. It also sports an ATI HD3450 graphics card. ASUS has yet to release pricing and when the unit will be available in other countries than Taiwan. Sources speculate it will cost around $499.
