Cybercar
This "driverless vehicle" is called a CyberCar (kind of a misnomer in my opinion), but here it is - a car that takes you places but no driver.

A Japanese furniture maker has come up with this Wooden Supercar which only goes about 50 mph for a top speed.
I suppose there are enough folks out there with more money than brains.
Intoxication Detection
Beginning August 1, Nissan Japan will be testing a new system to prevent drunk driving in Nissan vehicles. The car will have an integrated breathalyzer and the ignition will only start if the driver passes the test. This technology is designed to reduce serious accidents involving Nissan vehicles by 2015.
