Asus is set to launch its UMPC, the R50A, which has full PC and GPS functionality, in January. Not much more info at this time, but stay tuned!.

This good-looking R700 model GPS is from Asus. It sports a 4.3-inch touchscreen, with RDS / TMC traffic info, a hands-free Bluetooth kit, microSD port and Windows CE 5.0. There’s text-to-speech built in for reading street names, and you can vocalize your text messages over Bluetooth.

Asus has a super ultra-portable laptop with the U1E model with its 11.1-inch WXGA display in a 2.2 package. Specs include Intel Core Duo ULV7500 processor, up to 2GB of RAM, a 100GB hard drive, and built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, with an external DVD burner. $200 Eee PC 2nd Gen in April

Asustek Computer (ASUS) wants to become one of the top five suppliers in the notebook brand market within three years, according to general president Jerry Shen. 200,000-300,000 Eee PCs are expected to ship by the end of this year and the figure for next year will expand to more than three million units at least.

According to unproven sources, it seems that the specs on the Asus Eee PC keep getting more and more detailed (or maybe "accurate" is a better word). So far, looks like there will be two models, with prices ranging from $269 on the low-end model and $399 on the high-end. Specs follow:
