The British Advertising Standards Authority has banned another Apple iPhone ad. This one apparently fibs regarding the speed of the device, which you can see below. Britain claims it is a misleading ad. Watch it and see for yourself:

List Compiled Comparing Apple In-house Black Friday Discounts to Competitors

Black Friday discounts have already begun in earnest, even though it’s Wednesday. However, we all know Apple has a Scrooge impulse when it comes to discounts on their products so a list has been compiled comparing those offered at MacMail to those offered at Best Buy. The Best Buy discounts are usually, although not always, more significant. These might represent your best opportunity to get that big glowing Apple logo into your life on the cheap, however. Student Sends Email to Steve Jobs, Gets Free Final Cut Pro

A Greenwich High School student wrote a letter to Steve Jobs asking for a "high school educational" discount on Final Cut Pro software. He received a reply the next day from Richard Townhill, Director, Pro Video Product Marketing asking for the students mailing address. A week later, he had $1300 worth of software sitting on his doorstep free of charge! Not too shabby, eh?
